Dear Guru Maharaja,

please accept my prostrated obeisance in the dust of Your lotus feet.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada and You!

Since the happiest day of Sri Krsna Janmastami when You allowed me to chant Your pranama-mantra I've been constantly thinking about what to bring to Your lotus feet. You told us that we cannot repay our spiritual master but we must try as if it were possible. Sinking in the ocean of material desires and anarthas, fighting for my sadhana I have not yet reached some more or less significant results but strict chanting 16 rounds per day trying not to make debts.

By the mercy of many senior devotees I have improved my japa and can somehow concentrate on the sound of the Holy Name for up to 4 rounds... My sankirtana this year though very insignificant is my personal record (4 Bhagavad-gitas, 6 Srimad-Bhagavatam, 2 Sciences of self-realization, 30 “Golden Age” newspapers and some other books and brochures). Please allow me to gift these absolutely insignificant results to You in the very auspicious day of Your appearance.

Not to be so much verbose I finish with a small poem written especially for Your Vyasa-puja:

We're always searching for some joy
engaged in sense gratification,
but we are just a broken toy
in our present incarnation.

We try to see the outer world
in darkness from behind high fences,
we always hide from our Lord
committing horrible offences.

Extinguishing material fire,
opening eyes and making clever,
to save us—it is your desire—
beloved and holy Gurudeva.

Your unworthy candidate disciple
